NRT Same plane turn

I've secured a reasonable MR deal on AC (at 11.3 CAD cpm mostly reasonable because it fits within a business trip of my wife's so she won't have to contend with my absence..). I've booked AC3 YVR-NRT and AC4 NRT-YVR February 9th same plane turn. I couldn't find any info that this might not be possible at NRT. I have 24h to cancel the ticket without penalty.. Any first-hand experiences with immediate turns at NRT?

should be doable in NRT ... questionable if AC will issue both BPs at YVR and/or how/when you can check-in otherwise.

IME Japan only needs to see a booking confirmation before they will let you through international connections. So a confirmed BP should not be required.

I agree that it should be straightforward. You can get your NRT-YVR BP at the airside transfer counter in NRT if you can't get it at YVR on the outbound.

The only potential hiccup I can think of is if YVR-NRT is delayed and AC decides to swap aircraft at NRT, e.g., one (delayed) aircraft flies YVR-NRT-YYZ and another does YYZ-NRT-YVR (the YYZ-NRT flight might be on time and they decide they want to prioritize an on-time arrival and onward connections in YVR over YYZ).

Low likelihood but feasible scenario since the YVR and YYZ gates are usually side by side (43 and 44), and the same team handles both flights.

This is absolutely doable. You get your return BP in Transfer Counter at NRT and you pass the security. And... welcome back to Canada

I've done exactly this with zero issues. Enjoy your trip!
