FRA-ORD and FRA-EWR use B747-8. It should have FC cabin. Good luck.

  • 1 person
  • I get 25% executive bonus on status miles
  • LH promotion: status mile awards doubled, so for A and F fares that usually give 3x miles, you get 6x miles
  • Flexible dates (before the end of the year), but no more than 3 days stay
  • Flexible route: from anywhere in Germany or neighboring countries to anywhere in the world except China (no visa)
Any recommendations? Or how would I go about finding the best bang for the buck?
CDG-BOG was the best route lately, currently the promotion is off. No extension anymore but it may come again soon.

Use google flights.
Click on Explore on the left hand side
Select Round Trip, 1, First
Frankfurt
Travel Dates
It will show you all the F Fares on a Map (which you can move)
Click on the city name and it will show the fares.
Most of the time LH/LX is one of the more expensive options.

If you find a city which looks promising - like MEX) select LH as airline use the Date Grid to find the best days.

Just snagged 3 seats FRA-ORD

Was in Germany last week. Used points on AA (Qatar) to get there from Boston (via DOH) which was long trip but very nice in the qSuite. Booked each was a separate tickets.

Had set alerts on Expert Flyer for LH F just in case ANY FRA-USA route opened up. Thursday night got the alert - 4 seats from FRA-ORD leaving Saturday! Snagged 3 for my entire group. It was a super experience and well worth the miles.

So it's very possible, but hard to guarantee - very last minute.

I’d go GRU or LAX for distance.

MIA is also a decent option right now.

PRG-USA is ~ EUR 3.6k in roundtrip F. I am presently in Frankfurt but hopping to Prague to start an ex-PRG F fare. Plenty of availability on both LH and LX, also out of WAW/ZAG/ATH (have not checked in past few days, but it was there a few days ago).
