[PREM FARE GONE] TAP : OSL -JFK One-WAY $663 Business
- nobody's favorite airline but lie-flat and great price for a one-way (return is about double)
- given how late they are prepare those EU compensation claims in advance (makes the trip free if they are late 'enough')

This has been around forever. The one difference I see this time is the chance to have a 90min connection in LIS. IIRC previously it was always an overnight at LIS.
Good for a MR, but otherwise you have 4+hrs in the wrong direction flying Euro J before you even start the TATL leg. You would already be 80% of the way there if flying direct

I did this last year when it was less than $500, it was pretty cool, it is a great short trip to OSL and LIS as well. I am considering another one this year, it is probably the best way to return to the US.

That’s a great fare for a mileage run: Business J on Eurobonus for example gives you 20400 points which would give you Eurobonus Silver Status and get you nearly halfway to Eurobonus Gold (*A Gold) at 45k points. And all that at the cost of only 1326.-

Questions about seats:
Previously, I saw that LIS-JFK was served with airplanes with NON-flat beds (flat beds were only available on ex-Azul A330 flights to BOS). Did TAP change this completely to fully-flat beds on ALL LIS-JFK flights now?
Has anybody reported that TAP does the dirty trick that United does with their real Polaris aircrafts--swapping them with older planes all the time on the routes supposedly served by converted birds? I know that last-minute equipment swaps sometimes happen due to unexpected circumstances. However, UA does this constantly as part of their cheap, bait-and-switch strategy.
I do have an upcoming trip to GOT and want to utilize this deal to return to the USA. Thanks!

I flew TAP Maputo to Lisboa back in April. It changed from old 343 to old 330 then new 330 and finally at the last minute to a lieflat 330.
TAP is an aircraft lottery but so far it seems that JFK gets the lieflats....
