For those flying SFO/LAX-HKG-PVG with all Economy shown on Expedia, has anyone flown yet (checked-in and/or showed up at the airport)? Did any of you end up flying in Y or J?

I don't know if it's even worth calling Expedia to rectify the situation.

Only size 12 shoes, but agree with EVA777 that cmdwithteport was quite accurate ^

Also agree on lack of English shows programs.

And agree that taxi at 2 a.m. will not be a problem, but offer suggestion for off airport hotel with shuttle @:-)

Sadly A330 from HKG showed signs of wear and tear

I contacted both Expedia and HX. Both confirmed it is still J all the way.

I did the same, Expedia said whatever shows up on HX's app or reservation is source of truth.

That means you end up waiting for the airstairs to be put in place, then waiting for a bus to arrive, then waiting for your bus to fill. Then you take a fairly long ride to the terminal and wait for any aircraft (who have right of way) to pass and then you finally end up getting dumped at the bus gates, which are far, far away from the gates Hong Kong Airlines will use for your connecting flight. You then have to clear transit security, walk a lot, take a bunch of escalators and ride the inter-terminal people mover train. It's not a fast process. While my recent flight on HX61 technically arrived "on-time", we ended up at a remote parking spot and pax with tight connections were in trouble.
Thanks, super useful. I have around 3 hours for the connection, but have a leg injury that long journey sounds pretty terrible. Guess I will have to request a wheel chair just in case.

greetings from the middle of the Pacific! HX69 was delayed for about 1 hour for cargo door issues, but everything else seems fine.
service is good, seat is great, and the food is meh.
Internet is reasonably priced, but it seems like the webpage only forces people to buy 15mb for 5usd, and nothing more... Looks like a suspiciously large amount of people in the cabin are connecting to PVG... and there are only 2 empty seats in J.
Will do a full TR after reaching PVG! stay tuned.
keep climbing!

They have a 100MB internet package for $22.99. The 100MB did not last me very long, they need an unlimited option.

Hmm I thought they had a $19.99 for 500mb option. Is that no more?

HX, like many airlines, contracts with the operator of the Miracle Lounges at BKK. Miracle has lounges throughout BKK, with many open 24 hours. When you check in with HX they'll give you a lounge invitation and a map to the Miracle business lounge closest to your departure gate. My recent HX flight departed BKK from gate D6 and the lounge I was directed to was across from gate D5. While there's an entrance to a Miracle Lounge closer to Gate D6, that's a Miracle Lounge First Class lounge, not a Business Lounge, so keep walking until you see the Business Lounge entrance.

It's a decent lounge, but nothing overly flash. That said it's still a much, much better lounge than the SFO AF/KL lounge HX uses.

The BKK lounge had a good selection of soft drinks and beer in its fridges and a small selection of liquor out on display. There were a few cold snacks available like sandwiches wrapped in celophane, sausage rolls and a sad looking salad fixings bar. A couple of hot dishes were out, including a Thai-style chicken and rice dish -- it was pretty tasty. The Miracle Business lounge shares a kitchen with the Miracle First lounge next door and the kitchen is located between them. It appeared pax could possibly order something from the kitchen as well, though that might (or might not) be limited to either meal hours and/or when the First Class lounge is also open next door.

The lounge had an interesting looking automatic pancake making machine out for people to use. I thought about trying it because I really like interesting machines, but gave it a miss in the end since wasn't in the mood to eat pancakes.

Here's a link to some reviews of the lounge:

For those of you who went to BKK did HX provide an immigration priority pass?

When was the earliest sighting of that horribly cracked mirror? Seems it's been broken for quite some time. And it was still busted on 19 Oct when HX A350 reg B-LGC operated as HX60 between HKG and SFO, followed up as HX61 from SFO back to HKG.

The business class lavs on HX60 of Oct 19th had even worse issues. The faucets in the sinks didn't work - no water. At least for the last half of the flight.
