Not sure what's up with their chat system, but I only waited about 15 minutes being #130 in the queue before a rep came on and assigned my seats no problem.

No one argues with that. The point is that questions like 'Which is the best seat?' and 'Which FF program should I credit to?' are simply unnecessary at this point in time. The dust is still in the air.

I tried to pre-order my meals but it keeps saying my flight number doesn't exist ;-)

Edit: Stupid me. Can pre-order meal between 2 to 30 days in advance of the flight. obviously??

For me it said it didn't get ticketed, but AFTER I bought via Expedia got an email with ticket number So when I canceled online, same thing, did not cancel, but when I called, could not find the reservation and refreshing the page said it did cancel.

Also, for those of us traveling as a couple, we would like to sit together. Harder to do close in.

Sure, we will take any two seats, but as josephstern says, why not try for the best.

Exactly. Just wanted to ensure getting the honeymoon seats since I'm traveling with my wife...

You could accrue a bunch of miles and then maybe book a trip you actually want to take on business

Speaking of which, has anyone seen a Chinese meal menu from these guys? The OMAAT post only had the Western one.

I commute back and forth between LAX and Indonesia every month, so I expect I will end up flying most if not all of them. I'll be able to connect onto CGK and SUB decently.

Been sitting on the Chat for the past 1.5 hours to get seats assigned. I've improved from 185 to 170 in line.
