Just booked a SFO-DPS RT for $677 on the HX website. Booked for early September.

I booked early this morning and realized I didn't add my partner's middle name.

Has anyone been able to make bane changes over the phone?

I never add middle names. I think that's more trouble - better to have less on there.

Does anyone ever get denied boarding because your passport has your middle name and your ticket doesn't? Never happened to me so far.

When I joined the Fortune Wings club I had issues with my middle name. Therefore, it is omitted. Flown HX several times without a middle name in the reservation without issue.

the Expedia locator works at CheckMyTrip - doesn't provide too many additional details, but does send email updates with any record changes

The reason I asked is someone commented the following at OMAAT not long ago

"Jung Shao says:
I was denied boarding in Hong Kong with China Airline, due to missing second part of Chinese name Ching as appear on passport, which considers middle name in most Western countries. Never have any problem fly United, Singapore , Emirates..

The ticket was booked with Air France, Flying Blue , and the reservation simply put together as Last name, First name….China Airline simply told me they not allow let me board unless name is changed with Air France since its award flight, they not able to change for me. The worst part yet it was Morning in HK and flying blue was closed, so had to end up pay for a economy seat flight and no show on my original biz flight."

At this time the airline has not acknowledged the flight and/or fare that you originally purchased. Your reservation has not been ticketed and without confirmation from the airline, we are unable to ticket this reservation.
Just got this from Expedia with instructions to call them and reference some case number.

Still live on the HX site as of 1 minute ago. SFO ----> BKK is there 8/26 to 9/3. Was looking to book this but can't find a good feeder flight to SFO.
