So it's okay to post the fare on FT, but not to discuss it? That makes lots of sense.

I would add as well that the fact it was pulled so quickly also indicates error.

If you want to stick your head in the sand and ignore facts, that's your business.

Booked on Expedia and tried entering the ticket number on the Expedia site into the HK website in the "Booking Information" section but I keep a "No data found" error. Anyone have any luck?

Snagged a RT LAX-BKK for $687 on Expedia for Feb, couldn't get HX's website to load. Currently have an ANA award booked for that week but considering the fuel surcharges were $350, sure would be nice if this sticks and I can cancel ANA.

I have no problems with people posting fares and discussing them. My problem is everyone is quick to shout "ERROR!" when you don't know that. It has been shown time and time again that people calling a fare an "error" on FT is used as evidence to cancel tickets, even if the fare wasn't an error (e.g. most BA sale fares)

And, no, the lack of being published or getting pulled quickly has nothing to do with its legitimacy. Airlines do hub attacks all the time that only last a couple hours. In the very recent past most of CX best fares were only available via their website and weren't published.

How do I know if Expedia has ticketed it and get the ticket number?
Excellent flash sale!

I received an email from Expedia with a ticket number and booking reference number for LAX-HKG-BKK in mid March. Looked it up on the Hong Kong airlines site, the tickets show as confirmed!

Can't find anything now, but I did book LAX-BKK on Priceline in January for about $770 pp. Three of four legs on A350 and a 23 hour layover in HK on the way home.

Grabbed it fast. Now I have to figure out if I'll keep it.
