I had a rough time with two agents trying to restore my FLL connection. Both just kept reading to me from the list of current connections available on the routing. I just kept saying, "I don't understand - it is just a schedule change of half an hour" and they would repeat their story. Finally, the second agent put me on hold to go talk with someone (supervisor? I dunno) and came back and couldn't be more helpful. At first, it sounded as though she was just putting together an itinerary so she could price it out for me, but then she agreed to revert it back as an involuntary schedule change. (She said the word "involuntary" so I was happy to hear that.)

I have no idea what happened while she put me on hold, but she returned as a changed person. And it does appear that my reservation is now back to how it was before. I had been nervous that a previous agent may have put notes in the record, but there was nothing that would indicate that.

Had IRROPS and asked call center to drop a segment. They obliged but dropped the entire transcon instead. Found a supervisor at SFO who basically said "the call center is useless, if you ever need to change anything, just come to us at the airport." They're apparently outsourced. She even mentioned that unlike AS, they don't work for the airline directly. Super confidence inspiring!

I have been going back and forth with virgin america trying to get my segments back for nov 14-15. I have sent them copies of my original flights and they simply give me lax-pdx and leave off the fll and jfk segments. Their latest explanation is that it is impossible to re-ticket the original flights because they can't predict november flights.

That is some vital info to have about VX.

Anyone going on the PDX-SFO-JFK-LAX route starting the 22nd? I know it's not as crazy as the other runs, but I'm about to tackle it by myself and could use some company.

Last night I got a message when I tried to look up my reservation for Tuesday which indicated I needed to call Virgin. Lots of phone tag with hours between the request for callback and the eventual call backs that were empty air or hold music. This morning I was entertaining notions of missing out on a sail race to go to the airport and talk with a ticket agent there. VX did finally call back with a human being who told me the website was suffering from technical issues and my itin is just fine.

I am thinking brie and butter on baguette (a la Twin Peaks) to keep the tummy full on the cross-country legs...

Sorry 26th for me. I'm getting a little nervous about the weather moving through California. Hoping it doesn't mess up the run. Not looking forward to the full flights.

PLEASE REVIEW THE FF NUMBER ON YOUR RESERVATIONS

They have been changing FF numbers from AS to VX. Not sure if just this deal or all. You will need to contact VX to fix. Cant wait for AS to kill off VX.

Allegedly both numbers were on the reservation as per FB message i received several minutes ago. One friend was told by a phone rep that they earn in both programs. That would be the first time that ever happened. They removed the virgin number for me, I don't want to risk having it post to the wrong program.

Make sure you guys end up with your AS number on your boarding pass.

You could get away with no number, but if you credit to VX it may be a pain/impossible to move it over to AS.

Yeah... I found that if you check in or view your boarding passes on the mobile app, it'll assign the VX FF even if you've called or chatted in. Very annoying.

On a sidenote, I currently have MVP status with AS and I can't figure out the math on my tier status after my first run. I've flown about 10.2K but credited 12.5K towards tier. It should be 15K-ish though with my MVP status...

I e-mailed MP@alaska for a bit more info, but wanted to know if anyone either observed this too or knows what I'm missing.
