Just bought SEA-MAD for 1.4k in for Dec dates. Now hoping my buyer's remorse won't be too bad. Thanks, OP!

Finally Thanksgiving fares! Thanks, OP.

Edit to add: for people who are looking for warm weather in Europe and making a tons of miles, have a look at the Canary Islands. Is about $1600 ai (using AARP).

Yep-Looks like skyteam has matched. Lots of west cost directs on DL an VS.

DL is matching AA/BA/OneWorld

Actually, Delta also picked up on it, and they are matching the sale fare!

Good sale, seem to work from basically any US airport (even HNL and ANC)

Hi, new to this AARP/BA game. I just joined AARP on line after hearing about these discounts. Logged in to BA using the link on AARP. How does this work? Will I be able to put in my AA FF# at some point and earn AA EQM? I'm looking at J class but I don't see which fare class it is unless I have not gone far enough into the process.
Do you earn 1:1 EPM and 1.5 EQP buying J class or is it different due to the AARP discount?
Signed- A bit confused but eager to learn!

Yes, but for a limited number of cities. I've tried several city pairs departing from the Midwest that AA is offering for <$2K but they are all $3K+ on DL.

As an aside, I'll have UA 1K and AA EXP status in 2016 and have been trying to figure out which airline to focus on for 2017 status. This gives AA the edge, for now at least. Thanks to the OP.

Can anyone post the fare rules? Can't find anything out of DTW / ORD

When you input your personal details, you will be given the chance to put in your AA FF#.

To find the fare class, when you are choosing flights, click on the flight number, e.g. BA0001. It should tell you the booking class.

Just booked LAX-LHR-LAX (AA 77W outbound, BA A380 return) in April for $1416 with AARP. Viva Flyertalk!

Does this qualify for double elite qualifying points promotion running on AA?
