AA MR Need help

Hi FFlyers,

I need some help. I am Plat this year and working on EXP for next year. I have racked up 75K miles (current + future trip). I am looking for another 25K miles but the problem is i cannot do this in NOV or DEC. I have only OCT to get these miles. and with a budget of 650$.

I am based out of DFW which I think is AA premium market. I am a Indian citizen with GC so can do restricted International travel. Also i don't think i have enough time for Visas.

Any expert ideas how i can achieve Exp

Also I have some days of before Oct 15th that i can burn.

I have the HKG trip in plans but that only 13k miles at horrible CPM.

You want 2.6cpm in the next 31 days!? I want a pony. Not happening at that price w/o some amazing mistake fare or FD's. Sorry man.

Question: Is this included in the 25K you need or do you really need 12K? If so "that is a horse of a different color".

i have the SFO-PEK which is coming to 3.5 CPM but when i add the DFW-SFo its killing it by taking it to 4.2 CPM.

Just looking at options for < 3.5 CPM.

That is still going to be extremely hard. Setting that aside, do you need 25K or 13K?

Push your budget to around $1,000 and you'll find some options. There's only so many ways to bag 25k miles in one shot.

This still looks available:

Just be sure to book the AA codes, not the JL codes.

AA codes = 100% EQM

Doing some math here... such a quirky trip to Indo by a traveller on a South Asian immigrant visa seems like a recipe to be placed on a pat-down list. Stranger things have happened. So maybe SGN would be an option on a similar route with less chance for hassle?

LOL! So let me get this right.

1. You want under 3.5cpm (which is not easy).
2. Don't want to get visa
3. Have an indian pp which doesn't have reciprocity agreements with most nations.
4. Cannot travel in Nov and Dec

I think you should save some money and stick with Plat. I can guarantee it you will not get 23K BIS miles with those restrictions.

I was part of that stupid AA GRU/GIG mistake fare where i got dinged pretty bad. I had 4 trips planned and got cancelled. I don't blame AA for it - I gambled and lost (both time and $ in currency flux).

To replace some of those trips i had to cover with new trips so the restriction on the budget.

I don't think i said i need 23k BIS miles. I am looking for a economy ticket. I will request a upgrade with SWU, if I get - good or i am fine. Just want to do this in one short and get it over with for this year.

The tight thing is the OCT restriction since i have too many engagements in NOV and DEC.

Post #6. Your class of travel has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Read here for BIS definition

No. You have MULTIPLE SEVERE restrictions and that's why you will not achieve this. Time, visa issues and cost.

Stuff happens. But what you are asking for is not gonna happen from cost point of view. You can do GRU/GIG-DFW-N Asia on AA metal for under $900. This would net around 23k-26K depending on destination. Best deal you will ever get for a MR. But this before repositioning cost to Brazil and visa costs to Brazil and Asia.

Going for EXP is a financial and time commitment. Unfortunately you are in a more difficult position with a foreign pp and gotta be more flexible.
