[PREM FARE GONE] Ey: Mow-bkk/bkk-syd(mel)/syd(mel)-mow ~2000usd

There was an absolutely crazy (not only in terms of price) deal posted on russian blogs. The above routing in economy for about 350usd.

The connection times are horrendous, on the BKK (there are also oter cities in south east asia available) - Australia leg, you fly thru AUH again.

Well, of course i don't consider even thinking about flying this in economy, but what i did is i calculated it in Biz, and the price is about 1900 EUR. Not bad, huh? You can choose the A380 on the AUH-SYD leg and try out their new business suites.

I would consider enduring those horrible connections just for the sake of a380, but could you guys help me a little bit:
1) It seems W class, so only 130% on any of the programs...right? And zero to AA, correct?
2) Is it enough to re-qualify the AB gold? Or if you credit it to EY, what can you do later with those miles?

Thanks. and pls-pls-pls don't call the airline

W should earn 125% RDM on AA, 150% on KE and 130% on most other partners

The relevant aa.com page agrees with this: http://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/ea...nes/etihad.jsp
But, it appears they are only redeemable miles, not status earning

If only getting a Russian visa was straightforward! Great fare, but the logistics of starting from Moscow make this a non-starter for me I'm afraid.

Have checked ITA, kayak, expedia cannot find the deal.

I obtained a Russian visa year before last. The paperwork needed is a bit of a pain in the proverbial but once you have the paperwork together the issuing of the visa was actually very efficient and painless (in London anyway).

You are a star. Thankyou. Strange it doesn't also appear on any of the search engines.

Was just about to post the same. Cannot find anything in the region of $2000. Cheapest I could find ex DME was closer to $5000 for the DME-AUH-BKK-AUH-SYD-AUH-DME route.

I'm seeing at around $1750 for DME-AUH-BKK-AUH-SYD-AUH-DME-LED

Flying the A380 is only a bit more.
