Can this be done without a sleepover in the north american cities? that's what's killing it for me

cheapest i'm seeing on AA, ITA, and Google is $650USD for dates in Feb/Mar so not sure if the fare bucket has dried up??

if thats the case its too bad as i need to book that exact route and for $500 its a steal!

I don't see Q fares available anymore. IIRC, the fare rules stated that this sale would end on 09JAN15.

That would make sense if the 'sale' was over as of now, not to mention by the looks of things there's been a few people snapping up multiple trips.

Oh well, I guess i'll have to wait for the next one!

Fare is gone. I've 2 trips on hold and now I'm looking for cheap stays around YYZ. Any recommendations? Thanks and happy flying!

If you do straightup YYZ-DFW-HKG-DFW-YYZ, you can avoid the overnight in C1 on the outbound, but not the inbound. The inbound leaves HKG at 13:40 and arrives DFW 14:55. The next soonest available DFW-YYZ on AA leaves at 19:55 and you'd arrive at YYZ at 23:46 which is too late to fly out of that night. So you can either spend the night at YYZ, or at an alternate stopover location like MCO, MIA, CLT, DCA, or maybe ORD.

Ugh. Two of my reservations on hold were priced in CAD, but the website insists on repricing them and charging me much more in USD when I go to finalize. I'd call in, but I'm in thailand right now, and my phone quality is poor. :/

Yeah, no way to avoid really short overnights in Toronto (12:14am -> 7:10am) without adding travel time. Doing 4/10-4/12, 4/13-4/15, 4/16-4/18 & 4/19-4/21 so far. So overnighting in Hong Kong the 11th, 14th, 17th & 20th.

Happy to guest a person or two into Centurion or AA lounges if anyone has similar itineraries. On that note anyone have access to the CX arrivals lounge in Hong Kong, oneworld emerald or otherwise?

Also, any thoughts on dropping bags at HKG ($18 USD) / staying on EST / staying out until the return vs booking nights with the intention of maybe a short nap and a maximized breakfast benefit?

It's not the cost, its the voice quality. Low bandwidth in chaing mai. I do have fancy hands (assistant service) calling in for me, otherwise I'll ask one of my canadian friends to borrow their credit card.
