There wasn't enough of a time difference for them to make a change. However, it seems if there was a decent number of hours change in flights, they would have modified it (presumably). They didn't seem willing or able to make the super liberal changes you might sometimes be able to achieve by speaking directly to an airline agent though unfortunately. That was my hope...

I was planning on just holding onto the BPs and playing mileage credit roulette once I get back. I don't have any skyteam status, so there is no need to have a FF number in the reservation.
May I ask what is the advantage of handling this after you fly? To claim various segments with different programs? Is that the advantage you are seeing with doing this after you fly instead of linking a FF number with the itinerary before flying? Wasn't there some mention by some on here of MEA being a possible program to consider for these Delta/KLM combinations? I really need to go back and re-read these former posts soon. I just hate the thought of having orphan miles in MEA that I'll never use, even if they might be a good earning program for these routes. I think the KLM long-haul transatlantic and Europe-Africa/Mideast routes are what I care about the most of course since they are by far the greatest number of flown mile segments, even if earning at a low per flown mile rate. I have no Delta flights on long-haul international segments, just short domestic connections with Delta.

DL can make changes if they want to, but it's not very simple. Due to a schedule change, I requested DL change one of my segments (to a different US airport). It took a bit of work, but DL got it done. My ticket went from being issued on a middle-east airline stock to 006 DL stock.

Like many things, it seems to often be YMMV and all depends on who you speak to and if a supervisor will override typical rules. By the way, was your itinerary change a significant one or just by a few minutes that triggered the change request to Delta?

I'd love to hear more reports from NBO, particularly from those who did not do a safari or at least had several nonsafari days in the mix.

I stayed in NBO for a week. No safaris, elephants or any other animals (well, I did see a shih tzu. was fierce.)

I had a nice time in NBO. I'm not actually sure what I'd recommend anyone do, but I basically just walked around a lot, meet people, ate food and took it all in. So, I can't recommend anything in particular but if like me to like getting under the skin of a big city, then it's great. Everyone was friendly, no hassle. Recommended.

I just back from NBO. I chose a combo of city sightseeing and safari. Got some cool pictures, met some cool people, and saw some animals. Thanks again to OP!

Has anybody tried or been successful at upgrading any of these flights on AF/KLM?

I'm leaving on my trip to Egypt tomorrow!
