[FARE GONE] DL: PHL/DAL/MIA/CLT - Australia ~$1200

http://www.theflightdeal.com/2014/07...ing-all-taxes/

I just booked 3 tickets July 23-30, 2014 for $1181 each for an impromptu family summer vacation. That's only 5.9cpm so maybe not a mileage run per say, but it is Australia!!

If you get 100% miles than it is about 20000 miles

Can you get this in reverse? Say from Sydney.

I was too. Just signed up for DL Medallion status match instead. This trip will give me status through Jan 2016!

International fares are not workable in reverse. The fare may be similar, but it isn't guaranteed to be.

From RDU you can drive it down to 5.5cpm and do a SDT and complete run in 3 days.

And then you need time in hospital :-)

Hmmm, this is very tempting. Australia has been on my list for a long time. I'm seriously considering booking this today. My vacation time is already planned out for the year so it would be a relatively short trip. But at this price I think it's worth it.

But it's Australia! Who'd want to go and not stay a few days?

Thus the 2nd part of my comment!

Agree I would stay at least a day or two but some may not have time and just need the points. 3 days SDT is possible and I know at least one person is doing just that!
