DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WHILE A DEAL IS STILL ACTIVE.

Fare is gone: You can safely add your frequent flyer number, get seat assignments and poke about in your itinerary.

Checking Your Tickets

Check Alitalia status: https://mm.alitalia.com/us_en/BOOKING/Apvsearch.aspx
(middle names should be included with the first name without a space IN CAPITAL LETTERS. For example, First Middle O'Last becomes "FIRST MIDDLE" "O LAST"):

Check KLM/AF status: http://www.airfrance.us/cgi-bin/AF/U...rRbkAction.do?
(may also work to change/select seats. A name like O'Last becomes "Olast")

Check Ticket Details: http://www.saudiairlines.com/portal/...rlines/Welcome
Double Check: http://www.checkmytrip.com

Will this ticket be honored?

Based on the history of these deals and the US Department of Transportation rules you should be fine if you have a ticket number.

If your JFK-MXP flight shows as cancelled on the KLM website and the Alitalia website gives an error, don't worry about it. That having been said, there are several people about to do this, and if you're one of them please share you experience on this leg (if you cannot edit the wiki, PM WhIteSidE).

Wanna know your booking class?
Go to Delta.com:

Home > My Delta > My Trips > Trip Details > VIEW RECEIPT

Will I earn miles?

If you are in this for miles be aware that you may not earn miles.
  1. Delta: Booked on carrier websites: Yes. Despite earlier concerns, it appears that these fares will earn, miles on DL even if booked via priceline, as reported by cataclysmicvoid.
1.1. For 006 ticket with flight operated by AZ probably not. See this post. Please report back your experience.
  2. Alaska: No on AZ segments. No on most AF/KL segments because of the fare code. No on DL segments if not booked on 006 stock. No on DL if booked into O class. Yes on DL segments if you have a 006 ticket stock.
  3. KLM: Yes (will be at 50% or 25% depending on the exact fare booked)
  4. Air France: Yes (will be at 50% or 25% depending on the exact fare booked)
  5. Alitalia: Yes (will be at 50% depending on the exact fare booked)

More generally, these very cheap fares will typically not earn full miles. In some ways, AZ may be a good program to earn to as it appears many of the AF and KL flights that would earn 25% into their programs will earn 50% into AZ. It seems that most people departing from JFK are booked in O class which may not have much earning. Some people departing from LAX have V or other classes which do have earning benefits. The most earning will probably occur on an 057 (AF) or 074 (KL) ticketed and operated flight, credited to AS, if and only if the fare class is one of those listed as eligible on the Alaska earning website.

Just wondering this. Thanks!

How can you be sure that DL is the carrier so the miles go towards that account?

Thanks to an earlier suggestion to use PL. I was able to find the $300 LAX-BUD//PRG-NRT flight I want. HOWEVER, I notice that the CDG-NRT leg is sold as an AF flight, but operated by Czech Airline... Would I still earn miles on DL?

Also, can someone chime in about a 65minute connection at FCO? I am sure it is terminal 1 to terminal 1, but I still have to go through security/immigration? Some people say it is enough (MCT is 60 minutes at FCO)...some say not so much...

I've found it's also works for san, phx, and sea, and I was planning on using 25k AA miles back to orf!

Has anyone booked a DL marketed and operated flight on the outbound? If so, what fare class did it book into?

You put in your frequent flyer number when you book (Orbitz will let you do that during the booking process...not sure about PL) You can also give them your frequent flyer number when you check-in. All KLM and Air France operated flights will earn full miles at DL.

I'm still unsure that I can get full miles on a CDG-HND (the morning flight I like) sold as AF, but operated by another skyteam partner Czech Airlines... According to the literal verbiage on DL.com, I should get it, but I pessimistically think that I will have to fight DL for it.

Oh crap! I actually tried this earlier on google/flight when this was first posted, but no good... HOWEVER, thanks to the guy who reported success with PL, and the quoted post, I just tried DTW-BUD//PRG-TYO and PL came back with $411. I can skip my positioning flight!! :-)
(google/flight reported $3900 for the same date - Nov 13/21)

Thank you!

EDIT: Just tried YYZ $720, JFK $279!!!! Same dates as above, on PL.com (not reproducible on big-O)

I can get dates I can use (mid-late Dec and end March-April) down to $450-500 but no further. Not sure what to do! I've looked on matrix, O, :PL. Nothing at all comes up on the line or google flights

From LAX, looking week of March 30 to leave (was gonna stick around for my med school graduation ;D

to Tokyo as late as possible (right now April 16 is latest I can book. All the flights are the same that week)

I was getting these same prices for other months too so not sure what's up. I cleared my cache in case it was that but no difference.
