(FARE GONE) IB (OW): MR out of PAR, 15K miles, $435ai, 2.8cpm
Iberia has a fare between Paris and Madrid/Barcelona that appears to allow stopovers anywhere in the Eastern Hemisphere. Sample itinerary:
Nov 30 IB 7670/IB 7624 ORY 7:35AM DXB 11:35PM 13h 0m via LHR
Dec 1 IB 7629/IB 7443 DXB 2:35AM MAD 10:50AM 11h 15m via LHR
Dec 2 IB 3160/IB 7624 MAD 9:10AM DXB 11:35PM 11h 25m via LHR
Dec 3 IB 7573/IB 7507 DXB 10:05AM ORY 6:40PM 11h 35m via LHR
I don't quite understand all of the restrictions on the fare, but it appear that:
- You have to leave Paris on the 30th and arrive at your first stopover that same day.
- Your return leg needs to be on Dec 1st or later.
- Flights must have IB numbers but can be operated by other airlines
As a caveat, I believe that AAdvantage will credit these miles at 80%, as long as the operating carrier is OneWorld, but that's still 3.5cpm.

Other cities
On the outbound leg, a stopover in BAH works pretty well, too. DOH was actually the first one I checked, but it makes for a tight connection with little added mileage.

Was able to book this via a local Travel Agent, although they found this exact fare (in CHF albeit) they were not sure it was valid, because it "seemed too cheap". I assured them it was valid if she found it on her system, so NO NEED TO CALL THE AIRLINE...
Well worth the 80 CHF surcharge
Now some cheap Zurich-Paris TGV train tickets, and this will be a nice long weekend!
Cheers...

There seems to be several dates available all around £200, just search ITA for return ORY - DXB or AUH, with IB+ and put 1 night. I've checked a couple of options and was able to price them on Expedia.
My question is, there is a return arriving a DXB at 8:35am, and coming back same day at 10:05am. Do you think that is possible or too risky? I dont know DXB airport.

My question is, there is a return arriving a DBX at 8:35am, and coming back same day at 10:05am. Do you think that is possible or too risky? I dont know DBX airport.
