AS: MR Help...DCA - LAX
I'm currently shy 4,802 miles to make it to MVP Gold on AS, and considering a MR to get status. I've gone through the thread and have not seen much discussion on AS.
I'm based at DCA, and my dates are pretty open - I'll work around the MR. I'd like to keep the MR under $450 if possible.
AS is currently having a special: DCA to LAX pricing at $277.80 (travel dates would be 11/9 - 11/12) this would give me 4,608 points at cpm of about .06, and still 194 miles short. I've tried adding on a leg to this MR but the cpm just becomes ridiculous.
Any suggestions for a better MR would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

do flights on AA or DL credited to AS count toward MVP Gold status? if you can get to PHL, DL has some decent same-day turns to SEA/PDX/SMF yielding approx 5000 mi for $241 (and you can get up to ~6000 miles by double-connecting to SMF for $259) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milea...l#post21653979

Thank you for the suggestion. AA and DL miles do count towards status, but I have to fly an extra 10k miles if I fly with partner airlines. Since AS is doing a promo from SEA, I think I will change my MR to include a SEA - LAX leg.
