MR Segments from Austin

Hello

I am looking for some advise on cheap MR Segments from Austin or SAT.

I need around 24 Segments to get my Exe Plat. I am looking for Aus-DFW-???-DFW-AUS or SAT-DFW-???-DFW-SAT will give 4 segments for each trip.

So I need 6 trips before year end.

I am almost done traveling for business for this year or max 1 or 2 trips more thats all.

thanks for your advise

think long distance. It is proportionally cheaper to fly AUS-LAX with stops in DFW, LAS than do AUS-DFW.

check to see if AA still matches AUS-PHL on UA.

There was a great deal to BOG in F a few weeks back that allowed you to route via LAX, ORD, NYC

A couple of years ago there were some really cheap winter segment runs involving LBB/ACT/TYR/GRK and similar, connecting in DFW of course. It was in the vicinity of $30/segment, and you could fit 2 round trips in each day (long, painful days in ATRs...). They could also be nested inside AUS/SAT-DFW-X same-day turns. I'd expect something similar (though not that cheap) this year...

There are also some domestic routes from AUS or SAT that allow double connections. Many west-coast routes allow AUS-DFW-LAX-Y and many midwest routes allow AUS-DFW-ORD-Y. Catch a fare sale in the low 200s and you can get under $40/segment.
