first post, first MR

Hello all,

Thanks for all the newbie information in the forum.

I have been anticipating that this year I would be challenged to requalify for AA Plat and have been reading up, but now the time has come to actually plan a MR since I am caught in a snowstorm in Amsterdam that has required me to reroute from AA/BA to KL/UA and will result in a ~6k mile shortage.

I am based in Seattle and am available to travel week of Dec 17 or week between Xmas and New Years. Willing to spend a night (but not two) or to turn around immediately.

Any ideas for me?

thanks in advance!

you need 6k eqm or eqp?

there is the aathx promo which gives you double eqm & eqp....so you need 3k flown mi after registering for the promo....

please confirm 3k or 6k eqm or eqp...

Dec 17th SEA-ORD-FLL
Dec 18th FLL-DFW-SEA

$495.20 on AA for 5,672 miles

That's about the best I've found vs. asking for Original Routing Credit from AA for the reroute. Priceline had hotels in FLL for $55/night a couple of days ago. See notes on the BFL forum.

Thanks clacko and AeroWesty for taking the time to provide suggestions. Unexpectedly, even though I was rerouted, the mileage showed up in my account today so it looks like I am covered.
