Have you ever met other FT users while doiing MRs?

I have met up with many other FTers on MRs, both by chance and through pre-planning (through discussions on jumbo fare threads). I have greatly enjoyed all of these encounters, though sometimes mr. mechteach is a wee bit embarrassed!

I was on a transcon MR in mid-December a few years ago (I am known as a procrastinator) and thanks to the Flyertalk luggage tag on my carry on I quickly met three others sitting within 2 rows of my seat who were doing the same. Also had a great conversation with FlyinHawaiian in the HNL Red Carpet Club a couple of years ago thanks to spotting each other's FT tags at just about the same time.

surprisingly, I've not met any FTers on my flights. I have a FT bag tag on my carryon but have never seen another on my flights nor had anyone identify my tag. Guess I'm on the non-popular flights

Through pre-planning, yes.
By chance, I have only ever met one other FTer, but I met him on two separate occasions! (Short hair Francis) Of course, he introduced me to some FT buddies he was flying with, so maybe that counts as more.
I have seen FT bag tags (during AA BOS-LAX triple miles and RDU triple miles runs) but I'm not the type to walk up to a stranger and introduce myself. Perhaps my handle would clue you in that I prefer some degree of anonymity on the interwebz.

Oh yes, having my FT tag helps. Usually leads to some fun conversation. I've also spread the FT word and gotten at least one person to take the plunge and sign up.

Yes. It becomes obvious when you are flying on a route that has been posted on the MR forum and involves multiple segments during the day, and you see the same people on each leg.
