90 days for 35K EQM...Help
Hello Flyertalk,
I just got a status challenge from United for 1K. I need to fly 35K or 40 segments in 90 days. Any mileage runs or advice would be appreciated. Home airports include DCA, IAD, BWI. Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
VB

Don't mean to be rude but why can't you read this thread yourself? Just scroll down to half screen and you can see that you could do 7xBWI-SAN for $219 each.

Welcome to FT, vbarrera2!
For future reference this type of question should be posted in the MR Discussion forum which is meant for matters of general discussion, not active airfare deals which is solely what the MR Deals forum is for. The resource hamburglar shared is a good place to start in familiarizing yourself with how the board work.

He needs to run 100%. He should look at the LAX run for 800 approx that nets 18000 eqm.

I recommend iad-scl-lax-nrt-syd-hkg-lhr-iad can be had for about .10 per mile a good two week trip for 35,000 miles.
You can get it cheaper if you modify the locations and dates on the same continents. Use gcmap to make sure your above 35,000 miles.

There are some IAD/DCA -GEG availability. Just go on CO.com and put WAS to GEG and click on the flexible tab. It will ask you for duration of the trip and just put 0 or 1 Days (depending on what you want to do) You will see there are at least 6 different days between now and May that you could do it.
IAD-DEN-GEG-DEN-IAD = 4576 EQM = 7.64 Trips w/ this route
IAD-SFO-GEG-DEN-IAD = 5439 EQM = 6.43 Trips w/this route
IAD-SFO-GEG-SFO-IAD = 6302 EQM = 5.55 Trips w/ this route
although you wont see a lot going through SFO. (But check)
Too bad you did not start the challenge earlier in the year.
There were a lot of LGA-PDX for $124.00 RT/A.I. which you could have gone up to LGA and just done that for a week. I have an upcoming LGA-PDX RT which is supposed to yield 5713 miles. (LGA-ORD-PDX-IAH-LGA)
Also when booking trips try to route through IAH (Houston Intercontinental) {of course depending on where your destination is}
Most of my destinations have been in the Northwest ANC, SEA, PDX, GEG so on some of my flights I have gotten about 400-700 more EQM and the price was either the same or $10-20 more.
You just have to get creative when booking.

I went to HKG 2 weekends in a row to meet my challenge (left Friday, came home on Sunday). I had a few other flights for work that pushed me over, but those 2 trips to HKG pretty much knocked it (and me) out. Spent about $1700 between the two trips.
