I sat too long on a $798 AI fare SAN-FRA (mid week fare w/no sat stay req!) on US last week and it expired (I think my backside was scared of two TATL flights on one of USs A333s.) but I need to get out of town, if even only for one a one night blitz in a strange land. I have May 3-5 off and if I cannot find anything ill just probably get in my car and go visit some friends in Phoenix. $800 is my limit but I am stuggling to find anything out of LAX, SNA or SAN. Asia is also good but would prefer something that does not have a connection in NRT for a little while longer. I am trying to price out LAX-MUC on TK but I cannot get it to work, I know I am going against some of the mantra here to get your EQMs cheaply but I prefer long haul as opposed to doing a bunch of transcons.

My only needs are this:
*A, pref UA/CO/LH/AC and lastly US as they all will give double RDM on any miles flown.

May 16 - May 19 AC LAX-YVR-PVG and back for $859 ai (6.4 cpm). It is a 26 our layover in PVG. You will have to check if that requires a visa.

UA has fares around $860 ai for LAX-MAD (via IAD) but these all require a Sat overnight stay ... US is cheaper at $811

LAX-MIA, $238/239 on UA or DL, < 5 cpm. Miami can be a strange place sometimes.
