AA: Need only 680 EQM from PSP, ONT, SNA, LAX: Southern CA
It seems that any usual longer trips would be delayed to 2010, but how to do only 680 miles with least time, headache and cost? Thank you for your bearing with such low mileage quastion.

fly to SJC and back for $110, or LAS for $125.

If you've got any status with AA, the 500 minimum guarantee is essentially going to ensure that you get at least 1000 EQM's from any round trip (or 2000 with the DEQM promo) ... so almost anything should do ...

Thank you. Are we sure that with the 500 minimum for shorter than 500 miles flights, AA doubles the 500 minimum to 1,000 EQMs on short flights.

Yes. I have flown many segments which were 383 miles. All of them showed up as 500, and then double gave me another 500. My spreadsheet gives me my current sum EQM up to the mile, so it's exact

Yes, but as a previous poster pointed out the 500 mile minimum is a benefit for those with status on AA (GLD, PLT, EXP).

Thank you all. The least time and cost seems to be LAX-SFO-LAX for $99 ai.

Wow! You found one that's $99 ai? I've been checking in the past few weeks and only saw $119. I'll check again. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, several days available for $99 ai. Also try other area airports, such as SNA.
