AA/UA: ORD-NRT $669 AI thru 8/31

I've been tracking this fare for the last few weeks and was quite surprised to see this rather large drop in prices today. You can easily come in at about 5cpm, which is a bargain on Trans-Pac fares from ORD in summer. On the weekends it goes up to the $720 range and this is a 3 day minimum stay, so maybe if some people are on triple RDMs in July, this would be good for a short turn or to go along with DEQM.

UA books into K.

I'm also seeing KIX for $850 on some dates, however NRT seems to be the sweet spot

I could not find this fare...

I could not find this fare and would love to take advantage of it. Can you share dates on which you found this fare?

Thanks

Also on AA -- mods please edit

AA has *almost* matched, looking at dates through July and early August.

$307++ o/w ex-ORD, works out to around $709 a/i r/t.

Curiously, in terms of availability I can't find it on the non-stop, only on ORD-DFW-NRT -- and, for the same flights, booking just DFW-NRT is significantly more money. Married segments, indeed.

$709 books into Q. For $814 you book into N. Decent eVIP availability on this route too, through the end of July.

BKK is bookable for $1000 AI which would also keep this around 5 CPM AI.

Clearly there is not enough room in these fares to trick them.

It's not worth tricking them, the tricking flight costs more than the fuel surcharge. Regardless, it is a good fare for going to NRT, however this one's only good for northern asia on miles.

Please remember that all tricking discussion should be taken to the Trick It lounge thread, rather than discussed here.

Thank you in advance for posting accordingly.
