NW DTW-FLL and TPA $109 all in Farecompare

Fare not yet loaded. Looks like it's available with travel dates in September.

FC shows this fare available September thru December for Tues and Wed travel. I did not look at availability for all four months.

Tripped over this today, using my own tools. Glad to see others are watching...

Availablility for FLL is every Tue Sep-Dec, and Wed in Sep only. Just booked monthly overnight trips, that locks in Silver. Certs are only good until 10/31, had to pay full price for Nov/Dec. Anyone know what certs are good after 11/1?

FLL in Dec for $108. Better believe it!

Fare gone. One very-short-lived special...

They really mean it when they say "buy while it's there"!

It was a Spirit match - their sale was for yesterday only.

GONE, NO LUCK LAST NIGHT.

Try my $99 DTW - DFW just posted instead, similar price and more miles

Nice alternative. Fares come and go quite quickly around here.

Fare now appears gone.

As per the milage... huh? Flying Fish shows DTW-FLL as 1127 EQM, and DTW-DFW as 986 EQM.

NW DTW-DFW appeared to have been a match for the $120 all-in AA DFW-DTW.

As a DTW MR'er, it would have to be <$85 all-in, if east of PHX. West of PHX, we can talk, as the red-eye let's you earn miles while burning sleep. Those east-of-PHX turns are going to take up about 7-8 hours, so even leaving at 7am, you're day is 80% gone.

Steve, you are correct about the mileage calcs.

However..... this post was for DTW-FLL -and- DTW-TPA (which is where I would have preferred) That route is 983 miles, ha, so in that case it is slightly more to DFW (like 3 miles) compared to 986. Talk about splitting the hairs of a mouse ! LOL

Anyways I was surprised to actually do the math, it just seemed to me that Texas was farther from Michigan than Florida was, I would have lost or tied that bet. Thanks for the tip on the fish download tool, I'm sure going to keep that one handy !

DTW-FLL is 1137 miles - about 150 more eqm's each way, plus club access (Prez Club). FLL is the no-brainer mileage run decision when the cost is the same.

All true. I'd say hold out for MIA... then again, I've flown out of MIA to know that I wouldn't do it for the extra 18 EQM.

Looking forward to some more TPA/FLL/MCO Sat turnarounds. Interesting way to use up half a Sat... with the right K-fare and e-cert, you'll get around 2000 EQM, for under $.05/EQM.

Geoff, Steve and TC Flygirl,
