Re: AA fares... Isn't this the same broken FC surcharge calculation that rosj posted last month?

Though it looks like farecompare isn't showing the fuel surcharges in these new fares.

Sorry, bad routing

Take those out and you'll get something >$100 less and much more enticing.

So if you connect on a US-Europe flight via UK you get charged over 50 pounds in taxes?

Agreed. WAS-LON is pricing out at $206+ on AC without the fuel surcharge.

I have seen these fares (<$500 all in) to Germany from LAX or SBA for months, though can only find availability through the end of March.

Grrr. Why the F%§& can't they ever offer these kinds of fares from our side of the pond? Flights are pricing out at $387 for LAS-FRA-LAS on AA, but $866 for FRA-LAS-FRA.

Probably because Easter weekend is April 6-8. Many European countries have school holidays around this time (up to two weeks, beginning anywhere from two weeks prior to Easter to Good Friday) and flights tend to be fairly full.

No, if you are connecting through the UK you don't pay the UK APD, unless the connection is over 24 hours in which case it is a stopover.
