HNL to YHZ mileage run too!! Booked a $267 fare on UA metal with AC codeshare on BOS/YHZ and YHZ/BOS segment. Works out to about 21,186 miles for PremEx or 1K (no bonus miles on AC segments) or $0.0126 per mile.

This is a great deal, especially since we get so few out of Canada.

For YYZ travellers, you can get a one-way points ticket to YHZ and then route through YYZ on the way back and skip the last segment YYZ-YHZ. The loss of points is minimal but it saves you several hours of travelling getting home.

How much does it cost for a one-way points ticket? Do you use points or dollars?

What if you stop over in YYZ for a few days on the outgoing and then just not use this portion of the ticket and start at YYZ? Would United still honour the ticket? The fare is the same since there are unlimited stopovers

I think the short haul one way reward is 15K (AC only). It's not on the reward chart - you have to call.

You can't skip any of the segments or the entire itinerary gets cancelled. You can only skip the last segment. So you have to get to YHZ, fly to HNL and then get off in YYZ on the way back.

I just checked and it seems United has raised all the fares!! It's now over $1200 Cdn for the same routes and dates.
