I'd go with you, but yesterday I booked an LAX-PVD run ($129.50 on CO) for next weekend. I'm not counting as a run though, I'll be there for 31 hours so I'll get to visit some friends in the area.

Have fun!

If all the airlines follow AA's lead, we won't need any mileage runs this year. Kind of a bummer since we bought and paid for three! SJC to JAX, SJC to Nashville, and SFO to SIN. Oh well...

What dates are you considering? BWI-SAN is $118+ tax, so if you pick a good weekend it could be 12800 miles for $255. I like the sound of that.

I'd be up for a little BWI-SAN trip between late November and early December, on CO or NW.

BWI-DTW-ATL-MSP-SAN is 3500 miles each way and prices at $147.50.

Excuse my ignorance but at what site/service do you find routings for mileage runs...I'm interested in finding something out of EWR.

Thanks

tvl4free is the undisputed master of crazy mileage run itineraries, and has put together a primer here:

For finding cheap fares, Travelocity's Dream map is I think the best start. For getting convoluted routings however, you will need to use a booking engine that allows a search for "multiple segments" rather than your garden variety round trip.

OK. Here's what I found. I would have to book two separate tickets, both on CO.
11/2 BWI-IAH-SAN depart 5pm arrive 10pm
11/3 SAN-EWR-MCO depart 1130am arrive 1058pm
11/5 MCO-EWR-SAN depart 9am arrive 303pm
11/5 SAN-IAH-BWI depart 415pm arrive 134am

SAN-MCO run = 6726 miles = 123.50
BWI-SAN run = 4590 miles = 129.50

CO double status miles = 22632 miles for $253 = .01 per mile.
Sounds good! Who's in?

I am planning Nov 8th-12th DFW-LGW run.

I need a trip to Europe to make Plat before the challange is gone.

Open to ideas though. Paris? ZRH?

Let me know.
