RJ - DXB-GVA/MXP - $119 one-way - OTA Glitch

Royal Jordanian - Dubai, UAE (DXB) to Geneva, Switzerland (GVA) - 438 AED / $119+ one-way OR Dubai (DXB) to Milan, Italy (MXP) - 559 AED / $152 one-way.

These fare are only appearing on OTA's, not on RJ's actual website. The lowest prices are of course appearing on Kiwi, but Expedia and Booking.com are displaying fares around $130 one-way for DXB-GVA and $160 for DXB-MXP. DXB-GVA only has a few dates in March 2024 that work, but DXB-MXP works almost the entire month of March 2024.

For DXB-GVA any price you see under 1660 AED / $445 one-way is a "sale" fare and for DXB-MXP any price you see under 1290 AED / $344 one-way is a discount.

These flights are booking into the R fare code, which is a non-existent fare. Specifically, the underlying fare basis is RRJSPLO1. I'm not sure what the real fare code is or what you'll receive credit for if you enter your loyalty account number.

FYI booking uses gotogate for the actual booking so you can save a few bucks if booking directly there

Oh I booked this fare few months ago with RJ with very low fares, RT was $350 ish

And surprisingly got it in R class, put my booking details into BA and classifies it as Business.

Idk what BAEC TPs I'd get. Prolly nothing lol...

I guess R is a valid fare code for super saver fares - Mileage Calculator - Royal Jordanian (rj.com) - the fare just doesn't show up or earn anything on the US-based oneworld airlines AA and AS.
  • Super Saver Economy “R” class tickets are not eligible for award miles accrual, nor eligible for upgrade to Crown Class using miles.
  • Super Saver Economy “R” class tickets are eligible for 25% tier miles accrual and half-segment count.
  • Economy class tickets purchased on “G” Class (Group Fare) are not eligible for award or tier miles accrual, nor eligible for upgrade to Crown Class using miles.

Business, you say? Is that when you open the itinerary on BA's website? The tier point calculator doesn't display the R fare code either.

Yeah that's with BA when I do manage my booking.
The calculator shows nothing yes, but weirdly mention business class.
If only BA was the operating airline lol.

Haha! That would be fantastic! Earning business tier points for almost nothing! Did you book through Royal Jordanian, or an Online Travel Agent / Travel Agent? It's odd that these don't show up on RJ's website or in ITA Matrix.

I put it thru kiwi first. Was trying to use a coupon.
But well well, Kiwi didn't surprise. Couldn't generate an eticket.

Went on mytrip and booked it with them.

Wheretocredit says RJ R class earns 50% on IB and 25% on QR. No mention of any other program except RJ’s own, which is shown as zero!

Has anyone had any actual experience crediting R class segments anywhere?

Haha! I wonder what route you have to book to actually get a ticket number?!?

Sounds about right! It's a deep discount ticket. I have linked pages from AA, AS, BA, and RJ and all won't give you anything for an R fare.
