DL: SLC - SCL $380 rt

This is only meant to be a MR, it only allows 1-2 days in SCL for that price, and found fare out to June.

Agreed. The website, https://www.delta.com/us/en/skymiles...how-to-qualify, states that: "Basic Economy Fares: Basic Economy (E) fares are not eligible for earning miles, earning towards Medallion Status, or paid, complimentary or discounted Delta Comfort+ and paid or complimentary Preferred Seats, regardless of Medallion or other elite Status."
Consequently I am showing 0 earnings when trying to book the BE through Delta.

Main Cabin at $500 yields:

1,950Miles
15,905MQMs
$390MQDs

Fine for a mileage run, but it only allows a 1-2 day stay because it's not a fare to Santiago, Chile (SCL), it's a fare to Bogota, Colombia (BOG).

Delta (DL) VLNL0NBZ SLC to BOG

Also avail from SFO and a little cheaper.

Also a fare to Bogota - Delta (DL) VNNA0NBZ SFO to BOG

The flights you are referring to are actually flights from the US to Bogota, Colombia with a connection in Santiago, Chile in one direction or the other.. The reason you can only stay 24 hours is because you are connecting in SCL. The fare doesn't allow stopovers in SCL, so you can't get a longer connection. The actual flights to SCL are filed under a different fare code and have a higher base fare, so the flights are more expensive.

From the fare rules -

Category 8: Stopover restrictions

IF THE FARE COMPONENT INCLUDES TRAVEL VIA SCL
NO STOPOVERS PERMITTED.
You can see these are flights to Bogota in Google Flights. Take a look at each one and you'll see what looks like a connection in BOG in one direction or the other. In reality you are connecting at SCL and staying in BOG for less than a day.

Use Google flights
But as posted can't stay in SCL more than 24 hrs.
