Good deal for ZRH-SCL = 20006 miles with UA. Google Flight: 12/7-12/8. 12 hour layover before return.
Correction: My math is not the best on a Friday night, 3.34 cpm - Sorry

Similar pricing to Brazil as well. It's been around 2 years since I've done one of these EU to South America flights connecting through the US, but they've been coming and going for ages.
If you poke around a bit with flight options, I was usually able to find a flight with a W-Fare and PZ1+ in at least one direction for $2-300 more, and that still seems to be the case. Ex-EU a single GPU can get you up front the whole way. Ex-SA it will depend on how long your connections are and you'll probably have to call in.
