Also came across this fare (unsure of the best place to credit FJ miles to - maybe AS, AA or QF):

Dates: Seems to be listed for end of January, February and most of March:
Only downside (if you consider it as one) is the long layover (16 hr) in Fiji.

opposite direction is $895 on many dates a bit later in the calendar. also available into CHC and WLG, and out of SFO, albeit with needing to be flexible on dates.

LAX-AKL books into V, (VSPCL13U) with availability until October 31(!) and 100% flown miles creditable to AS... That's 13710 miles per MileCalc btw, not 17,580.
MUST PURCHASE ON/BEFORE 12/26! I'm not sure which time zone they use to calculate that, but these fares are only eligible for purchase in the USA or Canada...

OK, held booked LAX-NAN-AKL Feb 9-20, and 6-20 will credit to AS. Note: You can take some pretty long stopovers for free at NAN. We're doing two or five days on the way out, one on the way back.
The FJ website seems to have problems with multi-destination itineraries to make the stopover work, so use Matrix to figure out what you want, then just call them on the phone [(800) 227-4446, then hit 1 twice to get to an agent] to either hold it (they allow a 24-hour+ hold) or just buy it.
The call center agents were excited that we got a good deal.
