I also failed to book it (stupid Citi HK website always freezing at the last moment)
But glad it helped someone!
PS looks like a similar fare is still available from Japan, I doubt I will book it though as the positioning is a hassle.

Picked up two thanks! I have 200k AA and AS miles (haven't redeemed anything in 8 months) so glad to finally use it on positioning.

If you search rate at AA.com , you can find N class fare(about 45USD higher)

I got in on the TPE-SMF deal last year and still have a 1 way to TPE in February so this worked perfectly.

Correct - N and O are available.
N credits to CX
Think N was pricing in the $305 area IIRC
