I found this and similar runs in the $670-680 range through mid-Dec. I was able to do a dummy booking on americanairlines.eu site through the ITA Powertools (couldn't get the AA.com link to work for some reason, regardless of itinerary).

Update:
I just tried another dummy booking for a flight that includes an AA/JAL codeshare and it showed the EQMs just fine. Not sure why we received the original message. As long as it's booked with AA flight numbers, you should be fine.

Thanks for mentioning this. I was able to go through a dummy booking on a different day that gave me all AA flight numbers, but I never saw on the screen where it listed the EQMs.

I put "JL" in quotes to mean they were "JL" flight numbers and therefore JL-marketed. Yes, if you can get them AA-marketed you earn at the AA rates, but I did not see that as an option for NRT-CGK-NRT n Google Flights.

The itinerary I posted earlier to CGK is showing AA flight numbers and gives full EQMs (23,080) on the code-share segments.
