As always, pay more, and get the miles (worth it in this case)
$430 on expedia (and probably cheaper if you look around/better dates) AC in K. UA, and LH in L.

EDIT - Nevermind, when you click to book, they are repricing (on AA that is). On United, you can get AMS to DTW for ~$400 RT.
I was seeing AMS - DTW then DTW - CDG for ~$399 on BA/AA.
There are also other options using CDG, AMS, & FCO to DTW for ~$437 and above.
