Su: Nrt-ist ~$260 rt
Seems like the AZN currency (azerbaijan manat) lost half of its value overnight a few days ago, but Aeroflot site is still using a fixed (old rate).

Not bad but with only a 25% earn rate on KLM (N class) not sure it's worth the pain of a moscow stop over both ways. Do you still need to get a visa for a connection in Russia?

AFAIK, you never needed a visa for connection in Russia -- that's how Snowden lived for 3 months in the airport...

How did you get to the Azerbaijan Aeroflot website I'm thinking if the currency is in the tubes maybe worth checking out some of the business class seats also. 😜

Keeping in mind that the Aeroflot page shows the prices as each way when searching a return, a quick search for Business returns, I found AMS-NRT at 1373AZN each way (~$900 o/w) on 8-15May.

13-18 JUN NRT-FRA 1638AZN / $1050 Similar to CDG and so on.

your right, but it does price out cheaper starting from NRT then IST If you switch after initial search it comes up.
I'm seeing 1562 AZN (which is a little over 1000 Euro) but you need to start in NRT.
