Does it earn elite qualifying miles or redeemable miles with Aadvantage?

Indeed a good deal. Unfortunately, this won't earn anything with AA

Yesterday I booked a nrt-mel itinerary for next May. It came out to 99.71 aud with the credit card fee but without a bag or seat assignment. It will cost me $45 aud for 15kg of checked luggage and $45 aud for a bulkhead seat. The checked bag costs more to buy direct from jetstar vs getting the one with it included when I booked it but that's the fee I pay for not checking that out before hand.
In the end I will pay $189.71 AUD which is $131.85 USD at current exchange rates. I think that is a good deal even without earning miles.

Yep it's back to about USD200, this was a FD on their one-ways from NRT I think.
