It can be done (set your ITA to POS HK and Currency to HKD and you can find availability). You have to use a HK based OTA and it is available for KUL and other destinations. SYD seems available too, albeit for higher base fares.

Can someone recommend an HK OTA in order to get the fare to SIN? I can find it on Matrix but cannot replicate it on xp.com.hk

but any continuation I see to SYD seems to be at the normal Europe-Australia rate.
