Thanks for the post OP. I been waiting for a fare sale to GRU. I haven't seen that price drop in a while. A good used of SWUs.

I found them on both the matrix and then I also saw them on google flights. Direct DFW-GRU-DFW depends upon the days, but the price may be the same on other days, with a connection through MIA. it looks like to position to Rio, you could do DFW-GRU-DFW and just buy a separate ticket from Sao Paulo.

AA has pretty much stopped releasing advance C space on any 77W route (and many of the 772 routes as well). Don't expect to clear more than a week before departure, it's gonna be a sweat.

This is a killer deal on (mostly) AA metal for DFW-Brazil.
Looking at a few cities (and some previously mentioned), this deal is good for travel from DFW to GRU, IGU, FLN, NAT (awesome beach town), CGR/CGB (two of the gateways to the Pantanal), SLZ (~$800; gateway to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park), CWB (~$800), POA (~$800).
Most of the other (major) airports don't appear to be involved with this special pricing, although I could have missed some.
