because if it was announced to the world like youve just done, it will be gone in a few hours.

its not rocket science.

many FTers will miss out on this because theyre at work and by the time they get home, the deal will be gone because the blogs have tweeted to the whole world.

Been here a few weeks, only posting in trick it, then this today. That's not the way all of FT works.

have a look at the time stamps of the blog posts. theyve all posted it 15mins after this one
If you want to use the opportunity, book the flights; you might even show a bit of class by thanking the OP. Don't have a go at the him/her for giving you the opportunity!

I've no idea why you are complaining on behalf of unknown others.

Totally agree! Especially as someone who has posted deals but has no idea what coding is. If you can use it then do, if not, keep it moving. Thanks for posting OP

Thanks OP.

I booked this out of interest and in case anyone is wondering it seems it booked into K (based on checking the booking on the LAN website). No mileage for UA MP.

Checking guidelines of the forum is not rocket science either:
"The place to post airfare deals conducive to mileage running, including possible pricing errors and unusually low fares. Note: Weekly or other regularly posted fare sales are generally not considered unusually good deals."

OP also asked people not to call in a very prominent position in the post.

I would just thank him/her for sharing a great deal and contributing to the thread like many other users did.
