I am trying to make this work out of DTW and max my miles, perhaps with stopovers, but I don't understand how to add them in on .bomb without the price going up (sorry I'm a newbie.) I can't accrue miles on ANA or Air Japan in K class with Asiana, which is my FF program, so I need to stay on United metal. Anyone willing to explain how I can add miles and/or stopovers to this trip? The dates are flexible but need to be near the beginning of April.

This itinerary priced at $814 all in, but only totals 18,320 miles or 4.44 per mile

Well the best I found was:

EWR-ORD-SFO-HKG-SGN/SGN-HKG-GUM-HNL-IAH-EWR for basically the same price, but around 3.5 CPM.

I might be wrong, but aren't the NH flights coded as UA flight numbers so they will still earn 100% miles?

Also, why not book this before the end of February to avoid earning a stupidly low amount of RDM?

How would one enter this (EWR-ORD-SFO-HKG-SGN/SGN-HKG-GUM-HNL-IAH-EWR) into .bomb or hipmunk or ITA, whichever is best? I enter it into ITA and the price goes up. I'm not sure how to enter multiple stops into .bomb. Never done that there.

Find dates on ita that work EWR-SGN. Then route it UA UA UA+ or try cities that UA flies from, Then SGN-HNL (UA HKG UA GUM UA), HNL-EWR (UA+). SGN-HNL and HNL-EWR are on the same day. Sorry this is from my phone, hope it makes some sense.

I appreciate your taking the time to help. I was able to understand how to put in the codes for this in ITA after looking at the help pages. I've Googled around, but so far I haven't a clue as to how to put in multiple layovers/connections in united.com.

Use a site like Hipmunk to put in the routing codes

This is a simple one that works on Hipmunk

From: NYC:: UA+ To: HNL
HNL:: UA+ SGN
SGN:: UA+ HNL
HNL:: UA+ NYC

NYC-HNL/HNL-SGN are on the SAME DAY
SGN-HNL/HNL-NYC are on the SAME DAY

Routings are dependent on the departure city, but these basic codes should work. I'd check first to see if NYC-SGN is available at the low price first before playing around with the routings.

I took this last weekend. UA117 and UA 116 HKG<->SGN was cancelled, so rerouted back with Trip in Vain.

To price use the Multiple Destinations tool on United.com It prices if split into EWR-HNL, HNL-SGN, SGN-HNL, HNL-EWR.

I put this together for $846 and I have booked it thru the .bomb website. I also called the UA call center and specifically asked if any of these connections (in bold below) violated the minimum connect time [MCT] and was told that the [MCT] was 45 minutes and thus, should I miss a flight due to a delay, that UA would be responsible for taking care of me and put me on the next flight out. Of course, this is only a verbal assurance. I would appreciate advice on how to get something in writing that I will be given overnight accommodations if necessary and that UA will be responsible for getting me on another flight, so that I have more than a verbal assurance should something happen due to these tight connections. Can anyone advise me on the right way to proceed?
