Ok, I think it is only fair to post which routes are working.
After being a little down that apparently this trick seemed to be a gone fare it popped up again this afternoon (luckily).

there are e.g. doj's possible for instance building in cmb, mle, bkk and hkg at around 520€. booking a oj via dxb mle and cmb to sin allows for stays in all destinations apart from dxb at around 415€ which is quite nice.
