UA: LAX/WAS - BOM : $808 -$813 up to 20,000+ miles ~ 4cpm

Found some dates in March for LAX- BOM in K class on UA for 813 $.
Routes through EWR on the outbound and comes in via ZRH or ZRH,EWR,or just EWR on inbound.

Edit : Since Swiss codeshare does not earnin K, please choose returns that fly BOM-EWR-LAX for 20k + miles

Has a longer 5-7 day stay requirement so MR/vacay combo.

Example : Mar 24-Apr 2 (return on EWR both ways)

Kayak shows bookable on ua.com

Couple of dates for $799 Mar 25-Apr 2

30 hours in an american airline's economy would be quite a torture. (apart from that segment to Zurich on Swiss)

There are several dates with just a BOM-EWR-LAX on return which are all on UA metal. Hence full mileage.

Except that if you're a UA elite, you're eligible for upgrades to first on the domestic legs (flatbed seats on OPs dates). The economy plus cabin currently features lots of empty rows on the EWR-BOM and BOM-EWR legs, so you'll likely get three seats with a 34" pitch.

Not dead, OPs sample dates show at UA only fare has dropped to $798 ai. Return requires switch from EWR to JFK now, however, at 9+ hrs it's doable.

Indeed, hope to see more matches this year on long haul destinations like BOM. Always nice to see some competition.

Thanks OP, good find.

I think the return flight on UA metal through EWR has gone away at that price. Moved up to 1000+
However Swiss return though zrh still available for $813.

I think K fare on flights operated by swiss do or accrue miles. If you can get the return on UA mal via EWR as in outbound will make it good MR...do you see a return on UA metal?

But still a good fare overall... Posted earlier about similar fare out of lax.

LAX-AMS-BOM-CDG-LAX V fare which should credit to delta.
