ITA is showing BWI-IAH-SEA-IAH-BWI for $237. You can also route through SFO for a very slightly higher cpm. Good availability from the middle of January through early March.
I found one same-day turn Feb 5 with a redeye BWI-IAH-SEA-EWR-BWI at $239 (4.0cpm) and one w/o redeye Feb 28 BWI-IAH-SEA-DEN-BWI at $259 (4.6cpm) if you're into that kind of thing.

It depends on whether you've got a non-US address and if not, what you're after. If it's the 1K's GPUs you want then yes, this is pretty pointless. But if you're happy enough with Gold for the access to E+ (while it lasts) then spreading out over 10 trips the $95 (waived 1st year!) for the Mileage Plus Explorer card and its associated PQD waiver doesn't raise the cpm too much.

MRs are still important for me. I do a lot of last minute travel domestically for work so I had no problem hitting the 1k PQD with less than 75k miles. Being able to make a few mr/fun trips to hit 1k as cheaply as possible on my dime is still a goal for me.
