UA YUL/YYZ/YOW/YQB to BKK 888 AI
Seeing some unusually low fares on UA from Eastern Canada to BKK starting end of October onwards and beginning of next year. Sample date Nov 3-6th
Routing: YUL-IAD-NRT-BKK same routing back. There are some other routings possible for more miles. Makes this around 4CPM which is rarely found out of Canada.

I just found one a few minutes ago. 4 day stay in BKK at 4.3 cpm.
All that 747 time in Y though will be grueling!
Edit: The fare was $892 not $888...tiny difference though

Do we need visa to enter Thailand? I just found YYZ-IAD-NRT-BKK-NRT-IAH-YYZ for $ 916 CDN departing Friday. 20796 miles for 916 CAD means 4.4 cCDN per mile. I'm seriously contemplating doing it - if we don't need visa.
Edit: I found a more expensive (5.1c/mile) but more desirable option, as it would eliminate driving to YYZ: YXU-ORD-DEN-NRT-BKK-SFO-ORD-YXU. Two new aircraft to my list (739 and 788) and no 744 flights.

Very tempted to book a one-way staging to CA, then route the return through IAD and drop the last segment.
Love, love Thai beaches in Dec, before the busy holiday season ... so late Nov might work. And doing a pseudo run, with a few days in HKT for example to recover from the Y misery might not be so bad.
Wow ... you can actually depart YYZ-BKK tomorrow ! for $890AI
