Not really a run if you have to stay that many days... I prefer a few hours for a true run...

No visa for tourists and Ecuador uses the US dollar. Guayaquil is not a tropical paradise but a nexis for trips to Galapagos and close to Cuenca in the Andes which is home to one of the world's largest expatriate communities: Eternal spring, fresh fruit, and cheap living.

It is safe to assume if you cannot replicate a deal 10 days after it was posted and a week after the last booking that, yes, it is dead.

It is still alive.

On ITA, enter:

Departing From Field: NYC::AA+
Destination: LIM::AA+

Then go to Hipmunk to book

From Field: NYC::AA+
To Field: LIM::AA+
And whatever dates ITA gives you. AA.COM is not going to give you the fare because of the overnight layovers in MIA/DFW. This is the easiest way to book the itinerary without using multi-city.

Here's the sales and travel restrictions for this fare:

Travel restrictions

VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 15AUG 13. TRAVEL ON
THIS FARE COMPONENT MUST COMMENCE BY MIDNIGHT ON 05DEC 13.

Sales restrictions

TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/BEFORE 05AUG 13.

It is still available. For NYC, I see availability on 11/6, 11/14, 11/15, and 11/28. Enter 3-4 days on ITA for the month of November and it should pop up. $425.

There is also availability from LAX. Try with 3-4 days or 5-7 for $443, lots of days in November.

My apologies. The other active thread with the exact same fare, which provides guidance as to how to book it, has been showing the live fare for the past 10 days. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milea...4-6-cpm-3.html
