Virgin Atlantic: VKO-NYC-LHR, $365 ai Rt

Just found this a minute ago, maybe it works for someone since its such a value

Dates were 5 May returning 20 June

Can't check the rules and such right now but it was bookable on O and looked to work on the Virgin site as well

I don't think this is correct. First, I couldn't duplicate it but that could just be my fare finding skills. Second, VS doesn't fly VKO-NYC. So, unless I am missing something this doesn't seem accurate.

It's accurate and it's bookable, just look on ITA you'll see the flights.

come on ya all, this is just basic flight searching. the flights are there exactly as OP described. go to matrix, multi-city search, May 6 depart VKO, put LHR as the connect point in the advanced routing field, arrive JFK, May 15 depart JFK arrive LHR. $368rt.

This is one reason why many people don't even bother posting great deals on FT anymore. The reading audience needs to be spoonfed, calls the airline, claims "fare dead" when it isn't, etc, etc.

Nice find, lots of dates

p.s. for anybody looking into getting back to Moscow, you can just fly with EasyJet for ~55GBP (e.g. May 21st).

I could only find fare around ~$480 for that, is that what you were talking about or which dates did you go for? Russian visa kind of kills this deal for me, so I would could be interested if you can go neat that $365 from WAW.

Around $500 can be actually found from quite many eur- hubs.

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy one of these flights and not get on the first leg but get on the second. I am a beginner. If it were possible it would save so much money for LESS than the exact same flight, so I don't see why this wouldn't be allowable - no extra work involved. Would an airline let me get on at JFK to go to LHR?

Generally no. It's called hidden city ticketing and is almost always prohibited, and you run the risk of having your entire itinerary canceled as soon as you miss any flight.
