Double connection definitely possible. Best availability during midweek. YYZ-EWR/IAD-SFO-SLC very possible, though tough to get shorter turns. 3.33 cpm possible if YYZ-EWR-SFO-SLC outbound and SLC-SFO-EWR-YYZ return can be booked with elite minimums.
Should also note, availability is excellent (with one night stay) in April and May. SLC isn't too expensive for hotels either, multiple well priced hotels convenient to the airport.

Doesn't get much better than this from Canada! Thanks OP. Too bad I have no foreseeable reason to be in YYZ or SLC (would love to snowboard Utah but no time) in the next few months.

*A does their earning by who owns the plane you fly on. As long as your plane says "United" and has an ugly globe on the tail (or even if it still has a nicer tulip) you will get 100%. If someone was on an AC plane, a K fare still seems to earn 100% from what I can see, but I don't know UA as well as DL or particularly AA/Oneworld so I'll be happy to be corrected if wrong.
