The fare has been around for a few days from several east coast cities so availability was eaten up pretty fast. It was wide open but is dieing.
The lowest was $88++ each way which is gone. There is a $99++ each way which is still there. Probablty won't last much longer.
If one lives in BOS or SAN, it might be a good idea to sign up for fare alerts from Airfare watchdog. Many good sales for the city pair especially since AS is entering the market. Between AS and UA I have 10x 2013 trips to SAN. Many of which i booked months ago at slightly higher fares

You can't reverse it the way you are turning it inside out. The fares are based on SAN and BOS being the endpoints of travel.
You could fly SFO-MIA for $247
