Can you get the DL fare to price anywhere? It seems to have an issue with the routing they loaded (according to EF, anyway) which is preventing it from pricing on Delta.com or ITA, at least.

For SJC-KOA, I'm seeing DL for $319 on ITA and they're just selling an AS codeshare.

Come on, UA. Got a voucher to burn.

Thanks, OP.
Sister lives in SMF and has always wanted to go to Hawaii.
Sent her the details this morning and she booked the last 3 seats at this fare ($269) the week following Easter. She is so excited as she was able to get the AS direct flights (and the times are reasonable, too).

Great find, channa

I'm seeing $340 ai for 6-8 night stays UA SMF-OGG in February and March 2011. A great fare to the islands, and with great opportunities for UDU to get there comfortably.

I still can't get the DL $248 fare to price on DL metal, but looks like HA has now joined the party.

ETA: And looks like HA has fired back at AS by adding SEA and PDX to the KOA market.

Still no routing rules on the DL fares, so it won't auto-price. If you really want it, you may want to scope out T space and then call DL for manual pricing. It may take a few tries, but if pressed by a PM, they may do it.

No dice. DL has royally screwed up this filing. According to EF, there are, in fact, three one-way fares filed under TA00A0SC: one at $173 valid until 2/16, one at $149 valid until 3/10, and one at $124 valid until 4/30. The last of these has the busted routing rules. Sadly, DL claims they can only see the first of the three, and has no idea what I'm talking about regarding the latter two. Sadly, I'm looking to fly after the first two expire.

It may not be easy, but if you persist, you may get them to manually price. I've done it in a similar such situation before.

That said, I see you're a 1K and a DL PM. If it were me, I'd consider paying UA the extra $50 to fly on their metal and have a shot at UDU since DL exempts Hawaii from medallion upgrades.

Indeed, I tried---even got them to connect me to the fare desk, which only happens on good days. But the agent insisted the info I had was bogus, so wasn't clear I'd succeed if I tried again.

Absolutely--I (almost) never fly DL to the islands for precisely this reason. Unfortunately, the UA fares don't extend to my travel dates, so it's not a matter of a few bucks---or even a few hundred! (Especially given this is a family trip, so we're talking multiple seats.) Anything in the $300 range to Kona is too good to pass up now that inter-island fares are so high, so I'll suck it up and ride in back on DL---if I could actually get the fare Otherwise, I'll sit this one out and wait for UA fares to come back down from the stratosphere.
